A great value blend.

Label 5 scotch review. Slightly malty and fruity. Label 5 is a blended scotch owned by the french company la martiniquaise. When frenchman jean cayard established la martiniquaise in 1934 as a rum importer and domestic distribution company he would have no idea it would grow to become the second largest spirits group in france and the fifth largest scotch whisky producer in the world.

They use a number of scotches but mention specifically the speyside located glen moray distillery. The malt does show in the nose and taste giving this blend more quality. Label 5 blended scotch complete lineup february 7 2015 label 5 is a blended scotch whisky that is marketed not by the scots but by a french company called la martiniquaise.

It leaves very little on the palate or nose to taste. Malt from glen moray is also one of the main components in label 5. It is owned by the french company la martiniquaise and has won several major awards in the whisky industry.

With label 5 classic black as the start of their range they offer a variety of expressions. The company dates back to 1934 and its products comprise a number of spirit brands that you have surely never heard of. Label 5 classic black is a very well known particularly in france blended scotch whisky made with a hearty helping of fruity speyside malts at its core.

Label 5 is the 9th best selling scotch brand in the world with 31 million bottles sold globally. In 2008 the group bought the glen moray distillery from glenmorangie and a new grain distillery was developed in bathgate with production starting in 2011. The scotch is blended at an undisclosed location in bathgate scotland.

Label 5 blended whisky was launched in 1969 and is the worlds 9th best selling scotch whisky may 2016. Label 5 is a smooth whisky but in my opinion it is a little too smooth. This includes some premium blended whiskies such as label 5 12 year old.

Label 5 scotch is a line of blended scotch under the ownership of the french based martiniquaise. Couldnt come up with any movie reference so ill call this one the the franco scots alliance. Rather sweet with vanilla and sticky toffee pudding.

This blended whisky is made with a selection of malt and grain whiskies one of them being glen moray.
